Pepper, jeera prices decline on sluggish demand
Pepper and jeera prices declined by Rs 100 per quintal in the wholesale kirana market today on sluggish domestic and exports demand against adequate supply.
Traders said adequate stocks position following fresh crop arrivals in the market, amid sluggish domestic and exports demand mainly led to the fall in pepper prices.
Jeera common and best quality were down by Rs 100 each to Rs 13,300-13,500 and Rs 14,900-15,400, while black pepper common traded lower by the similar margin to Rs 22,900-23,000 per quintal, respectively.
