  • Pepper future edged higher on limited arrivals in the domestic market but failed to reach further heights since the anticipation of Vietnam arrivals overshadowed the sentiments.
According to Vietnam pepper association president as represented in media sources, pepper output in Vietnam is expected near 100000 tons and the total export volume estimated near 115000 tons.
As per ministry of agriculture and rural development, pepper export turnovers increased by 40.7 percent on year on year projection from January.
And the export volume in January is reported near 7000 tons of pepper. Spot prices in India traded near Rs 22800 per quintal and international pepper price for MG1 grade traded near $5450 per ton.
Arrivals are reaching the market in small quantities and growers are expected to hold the available stocks on expectation of higher prices.
