Chilli, turmeric decline on sluggish demand
New Delhi, Mar 25 (PTI) Red chilli and turmeric prices declined by Rs 100 per quintal each in the national capital today due to sluggish demand from retailers and stockists amid adequate stocks.
Fresh arrivals from producing belts also put pressure on the prices.
Red chilli and turmeric prices fell by Rs 100 each to settle at Rs 6,600-12,100 and Rs 12,600-16,600 per quintal, respectively.
Market analysts said sluggish demand from retailers and stockists against fresh arrivals from producing belts mainly pulled down the chilli and turmeric prices at the wholesale kirana market here.
