Spices end steady in dull trade

Mumbai, Mar 10 (PTI) Black pepper, ginger and copra prices closed stable in an otherwise dull trade at the spices market here today due to lack of any worthwhile buying activity.

Following are today''s closing rates in Rs, with the previous rates in brackets:

Black pepper (per kg) 243/261 (243/261), ginger bleached (per kg) 163 (163), ginger unbleached (per kg) 193 (193), copra office Alapuzha (per quintal) 6,100 (6,100), copra office Kozhikode (per quintal) 6,000 (6,000), copra Rajapur Mumbai (per quintal) 7,800 (7,800) and copra edible Mumbai (per quintal) 7,300 (7,300).
