Spices rule steady in thin trade

  • Mumbai, Mar 25 (PTI) Black pepper, ginger and copra prices witnessed a stable trend at the spices market here today in the absence of any worthwhile buying activity amid adequate stock position.

    Following are today''s closing rates in Rs, with the previous rates in brackets:

    Black pepper (per kg) 245/265 (245/265), ginger bleached (per kg) 163 (163), ginger unbleached (per kg) 193 (193), copra office Alapuzha (per quintal) 6,650 (6,650), copra office Kozhikode (per quintal) 6,550 (6,550), copra Rajapur Mumbai (per quintal) 8,000 (8,000) and copra edible Mumbai (per quintal) 7,500 (7,500).
